Ammo Testing in the Backyard
OK, here’s a guy who has taken it upon himself to find the facts. Tommy in Tennessee knows that what the Internet has to say, what’s printed on the box or what the guy at the gun store thinks is all a lot of hot air. He has devised a way to test him favorite caliber, the much maligned 9mm, and come to his own conclusions. And we are fortunate he also chose to post his findings on You Tube.
I find his demonstrations of the new 147 grain 9mm rounds particularly interesting. Also, make a point of viewing his results for the all-copper Cor-Bon DPX.
Why the jugs of wet newspaper? Tommy’s found that they give results virtually identical to the FBI’s published performance of old rounds in ballistic gelatin.

Extremely well done video, informative and well spoken. I use SPEER 124 grain 9mm, bought it in bulk. Not hollow point. Has been a solid performer for the 3 years that I’ve had it. I have the Glock 17 and 19. Absolute works of art.
Will be watching your other videos now. Good stuff, and thanks! oilman
