I personally think the NRA is doing its job.  Others think it’s not working hard enough.  There are alternative organization which need your support.  One is The Second Amendment Foundation.  On their site there is tons of INFORMATION, not just a sales pitch.  These guys work hard and have the guts to fight.  I’ll be going to their Press Conference at the SHOT Show.  Here is what they plan to cover there:

One host that is enthusiastically promoting its press conference in that room is the Second Amendment Foundation, which has reserved the Wednesday, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. slot, for “McDonald v. Chicago, the Supreme Court case that could decide if the Second Amendment applies to states and their subdivisions.  Oral arguments are scheduled for March 2.”

The conference will feature Alan Gura, lead attorney for plaintiffs in the case, who also argued the Heller case.  He’ll preview key issues in the McDonald case.  Lawrence G. Keane, National Shooting Sports Foundation senior vice president and general counsel for the amicus NSSF, will share the podium.  Also on hand will be officers of the plaintiff Second Amendment Foundation, Illinois State Rifle Association and other representatives of the amicus NSSF.
